Arrangements for Seniors made easy - Advocacy
 
Service available: Portland, OR - Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties, wherever a seniors lives - a private home, apartment, retirement communities, assisted living facilities, or any other senior living setting.
 
What is it:            A bi-monthly or weekly visitor program providing professional feedback, including a comprehensive report and pictures to family members who are located outside the area or are unable to make the needed contact, as well as a report to a local designated family member, friend or other trusted individual.
 
A visit includes:    sitting down with the senior to engage in a friendly               conversation as well as:
 
Assessing:  - how well the senior is getting along
                   -    general well being, including grooming
-    food in refridgerator and cupboard
-    apparent safety hazards, i.e. throw rugs, stacks of      newspapers, etc.
-    door & window locks, heat
-    have doctor appointments been made or kept
 
Shopping:   - for weekly or bi-monthly groceries and putting them away.
 
Appointment making: to doctors offices, beauty shop, for transportation, etc.
 
This 2-hour program includes the above. An a-la-carte service can be arranged on an individual basis at an additional cost.  
 
Costs:                    $50.00 for the 2-hour “Senior Advocate Visitor” program.
 
Payment:               In advance. Cost for groceries not included. No mileage charge. We shop at the nearest large grocery store to the senior’s place of living.
 
Reporting:             We report to the family member the day of the visit via e-mail, including receipts and photo. If e-mail is not available we report via phone or fax.     
 
Our qualifications:  Care Service Options, Inc.,(www.CareServiceOptions.com)  our referral/placement company, has been in business in the Portland/Tri-County area since 1987. We have never had any type of complaint filed against us. Please check us out. We do assessments on seniors on a daily basis. We have done assessments for the State of Oregon and we work with hospitals, social workers, attorneys and conservators. References are available upon request.
